How my blog has evolved over this past year... LOL

Hey guys, so I have been thinking to do this type of post for a while now, so here goes...

I'm going to take you through my whole blogging journey. From when I first started, what I have learnt along the way and how my confidence has grown over the past year.

^^^ The quality of these photos are not that great LOL! Looking at them now. At the time, I thought they were amazing, as did you guys! But regardless of the quality, these first few photos are what made me realise I loved to share my style with the world and it doesn't matter about the quality as that didn't matter at the time.

^^^ My pose in this is really unnatural and forced. It takes time to become confident infront of the camera, but it will happen eventually, it just takes time! Now I can take a photo and make it look natural within seconds, as it's pretty much a habit. (Isn't it Jord...."lets just take an OOTD before we go out")

^^^ When I found my love for shooting in Manchester rather than just the garden. This was a massive deal shooting in public.

^^ I found a love for graffiti and anything colourful! I was realising my personal style and what works for me! I also started using my Canon camera which my lovely mum bought me for my 21st birthday and I then extended my photography skills and purchased some editing software.

I then started to venture out more and started to meet other bloggers! Which felt amazing - I was and still am making friends through my blogging experience each and everyday. Such a lovely community to be apart of!

I found my love for street photography on this day, I knew that street photography was my favourite backdrop!

^^^ I started playing with my angles and testing out different poses! Now I am little more confident infront of the camera (to an extent) I still get nervous if people are walking past lol!

There we have it, just a few of my photo's looking back on when I was a newbie to now! Wow I have changed my hair lots, LOL! I'm changing it again on Sunday. But yeah if you are thinking of starting to blog, my point is, don't worry about the steps you take into your journey, don't worry about what camera you are using, how you're posing etc, just have fun with it. I did, and I've learnt along the way. If I can do it, so can you!

Thanks for reading lovelies,
Love,
Tash xx

Why I love Manchester c/o Becky's Boutique

Hello guys,

Hope you've all had a brilliant week!

So today I bring you a collaboration with a lovely jewellery company which I stumbled across on good ol' Instagram. I was super excited when they said they would collaborate as their jewellery is right up my street and jewellery is a love of mine!

Becky's Boutique is a gorgeous boutique inspired by nature. #wearingBBhandmade. You can find their website by etsy here. They sell a variety of earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets!

 Dainty, handmade, and simply beautiful.

So I happily chose the bee two piece, studs and a necklace in silver. I love bees because the symbol can not only be inspired by nature, but by my home town and city, Manchester.

Here I have listed a few of my favourite things about Manchester;
  • The people - my family, friends and loved ones! I love you all.
  • Shopping - the shopping here is incredible, there are plenty of places to shop!
  • The food - mixture of food available in all areas
  • Music - love music

So there we have it... just a few of the reasons I love Manchester and why I love being a Mancunian!
Are you from Manchester or have you visited before? I'd love to hear, comment below.

For now, check out Becky's Boutique for more jewellery inspo HERE.

Take a break x

Hello you lovelies and welcome back to my blog.

Firstly, I will try not to bore you, I will make it short!.. I just wanted to apologise for my lack of writing lately, I have been a little bit wishy washy (couldn't think of an appropriate word) but anyway, I haven't been so great lately, at producing content for you guys to see. Which is what this post is going to be about - taking a break, why I did and why it is a good idea to if you feel you need it.

...

Taking a break isn't a bad thing, but I felt so guilty when I wasn't posting on my blog, Instagram or Twitter. But I ask myself why? and it goes back to feeling the need to be liked, and I felt I would be less liked and lose followers if I didn't post as frequent as other bloggers as we all know it is a very busy community. I mean why did I care about followers? After all, the followers and friends I have made will support me regardless, right?

When I thought about it properly, I was taking a break as I had 'writers block' as they call it LOL and things got very busy in my personal life, with full time work and going on holidays!

...

So taking a break is good for many of these reasons..

  • To gain motivation and ideas
  • This gives you time for a good earned rest
  • I actually spent time with loved ones, talking to them rather than just staring at my phone! (this is easily done :|)
  • A change is as good as a rest they say (I changed my font) LOL
...

There we have it...
Just a short post on why I have took a break from blogging and I'm not going to lie, it's feels amazing getting back to it today - I have missed it so so much!!!

I have figured out when it is the best time to blog and how to fit it in more with working full time, and when it is convenient for myself. After all blogging is a passion of mine, but is important to not let it take over, and remember you are your own #girlboss. (and don't be so hard on yourself)

I wont leave it so long next time :)
(and if I do, oh well - it's fine.)

Love you guys,
- for always supporting me,

Tash

Lighting and interior with Cox and Cox

Hey guys and welcome back to love-laughter-fashion. I hope you guys are all well and are having a great week so far.

Today I bring you a different type of blog post, one all things interior. Lighting is one of the most important objects in a household - whether this be a lamp from Cox and Cox, a spotlight or light coming from the television. I feel the simple thought of having light is something we take for granted and I can admit to this myself as I just switch the light on as if it is part of a routine and do not really think twice. So here, I explain the importance of light in our household. I find a lamp in particular is always a good way of creating more of a subtle lighting effect when winding down in the evening after a long day at work.

Cox and Cox started in 2001 and offer home-ware products such as lamps, rugs and accesories which are all unique and beautiful in there own way - and objects you may not be able to find elsewhere. They also have a 20% off introductory offer for your first order to, which is handy.

A couple of my favourites' definitely have to be a wooden elegant floor lamp, which totally gives off a whole vintage vibe and I would place this particular lamp against a coloured feature wall, with bold colours for the full effect. Then there is a copper floor lamp, which I would place against a fresh white wall, and accesorise with green house plants for a whole 2017 modern feel.

Copper floor lamp           -          White wooden floor lamp
When it comes to decorating a room, personally I find it important to think carefully about how I may accesorise the room (and let's be honest because this is the best bit!). I complete the interior by using a variety of photographs, ornaments and most importantly a lamp. A lamp gives it that finishing personal touch. I have explained how I would style two of my favourite lamps in the image above.

What is your favourite type of lamp, and which one would you purchase?

Thanks for reading,

Summer fashion style piece - Aquascutum

Hey guys and welcome back to love-laughter-fashion

Today I wanted to share some jacket inspiration for Spring and Summer fashion. Often in the warm weather we are unsure of what jacket to wear. The temperature is up and down, especially here in the UK. We have storms one hour and hot sunshine the next, therefore I'm going to share with you one of my favourite coats of all time - and one that especially stays in fashion every year and can be such a stylish statement piece of any outfit and make you feel a million dollars.

This years' summer fashion style piece has most definitely got to be a classic trench coat. This trench coat is from the website Aquascutum and this brand started back in 1851. Their website includes different types of clothes for men and women, and they have a sale on at the moment to - so go and check it out for an amazing variety of trench coats, raincoats and much more!

This gorgeous coat in the image (from the website) has been crafted with many cottons and is inspired by classic military coats. The a-line shape on the trench coat gives it that flattering and femininity a trench coat needs - with a belt to tuck it in at the waist! I love it.

How do I style a trench coat?

Trench coats can be difficult to style, although once styled personally, they can look gorgeous. I find trench coats quite dressy and more formal so I find them perfect for the work wardrobe attire! I love layering this years summers fashion style piece over dresses and tights for the more dressed-up style, and a pair of court shoes to finish that desired feminine look. However, for a more laid back casual attire, I would pop the trench coat over jeans and wear with converse. I would also keep the trench coat open to give off them cool, casual vibes.

I would love to hear how would you style the trench coat?

Thanks for reading guys,
Love
Tash
